Hospitality Teens - After School Program

I. Executive Summary:
The Hospitality Teens Program is an innovative after-school program aimed at high
school juniors and seniors interested in exploring careers in hospitality. The program will
focus on various hospitality sectors, including restaurants, hotels, event venues, bakeries,
and coffee shops. Students will gain practical experience through field trips, in-person
training, and participation in pop-up hospitality events.
II. Program Overview:
A. Mission Statement: To inspire and equip the next generation of hospitality
professionals with the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary for success in
the diverse fields of hospitality.
B. Program Objectives:
1. Provide comprehensive training in hospitality principles and practices.
2. Offer practical experience through field trips and hands-on events.
3. Foster creativity, teamwork, and leadership in students
4. Prepare students for careers in various hospitality sectors.

III. Program Structure:
A. Application Process:
1. Application Fee: $25
2. Admissions Timeline: December (Applications) - January (Interviews)
3. Selection Criteria: Limited to 10 candidates based on interest,
commitment, and potential

B. Course Schedule:
1. February: Online Classes (twice a week) covering hospitality
fundamentals, customer service, and event planning.
2. March: In-Person Training (once a week)
3. April: Field Trips to local hotels, restaurants, event venues, bakeries, and
coffee shops, along with hands-on pop-up hospitality events at The
Shepherd's Haven.

C. Curriculum:

1. Online Classes: Hospitality Principles, Customer Service Excellence,
Event Planning, Food and Beverage Management.
2. Field Trips: Visits to various hospitality venues for real-world insights.
3. Pop-Up Events: Students will plan and execute events, allowing them to
apply their knowledge and skills in a practical setting.

IV. Program Benefits:
A. Mentorship: Students will receive guidance and support from Hospitality
Entrepreneur, Zay and other industry professionals.
B. Certification: Students will receive a Certificate of Completion and Summer
Internship Offer Letter.
C. Career Development: Opportunities to explore different roles in the hospitality
industry.
V. Application Process:
A. Application Form: Includes Personal Information, Statement of Interest, and
References
B. Application Fee: $25 (Non-Refundable)
C. Submission Deadline: December 31st
D. Interview Process: Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews in
January.
